This Distribution Center services customers throughout Western Oregon from Eugene to Portland and some of southern Washington. Duties:

Delivery Driver

At Sleep Country, we believe the customer service that we provide is what sets us apart. The Delivery Team is responsible for ensuring that every customer receives the best delivery experience they have ever had. This is accomplished by delivering in a safe, timely, and professional manner and making sure that the customer is satisfied.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-

• Safe and appropriate driving of delivery trucks
• Maintaining Truck Safety and Efficient Operation and reports any damage to vehicle, customer property, company stores
• Provide exceptional customer service ensuring timely deliveries, CODs and call-backs
• Delivery and Set-up of new merchandise and removal of old products
• Inventory control
• Efficient Route Planning and execution
• Warehouse Maintenance
• Verify correct product loaded for delivery
• Refuel vehicles
• Load/Unload Delivery Trucks and Vendor Shipments
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or General Education Degree
• Valid Oregon or Washington State Driver’s License and a clean driving record
• Must have two years of personal driving experience
• Experience driving 24-26’ straight box truck preferred
•Must be available to work Mon-Sun 5 days per week with weekend work required.
• Basic computer knowledge including ability to locate customer homes using online mapping tools or ability to navigate via map books.
• Ability to read maps and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to effectively read, speak and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift and move 100 pounds
