Title - Controller
Compensation: $75K – $85 K+ full benefits

This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, steadily growing construction group that is looking to add a controller/business manager to their team. This isn’t just a numbers role; this is a key member of the management team. As such, we are looking for a controller that really gets it! Someone that is passionate about applying their craft in the construction world and knows what the numbers mean to the success and failure of projects and the business.

Duties:

What we are looking for:
•Insight - the ability to not just report the numbers but to interpret and relate the financials of the business as a key member of the management team.
•A proactive nature that spots trends, abnormalities and problems before they are big problems.
•Experience and judgment to assist with financial risk management in a large scale construction environment.

Management and Supervision
•Provide supervision, training and direction for accounting employees in the Division to maximize financial control, productivity and efficiency
•Ensure that the Division is in compliance with Company legal, administrative and accounting policies and procedures, and work with Division management to develop and document division variations where allowable
•Develop, document and implement Division accounting procedures and controls which meet GAAP, Regulatory Agencies and Corporate criteria while maximizing accounting productivity

Qualifications:

•Commercial construction accounting and finance experience including job costing, work in progress, cost to complete, general ledger, financial reporting and analysis, A/P, A/R, budgeting, cost accounting, cash management, operating loan packages, etc.
•5-10+ years of accounting/finance experience.
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar Business Degree.
