Description: |
Leading PNW Energy company has an immediate opening for an HR Specialist with 2+ yrs Federal Entity experience, specializing in Employee Relations/Labor Relations and Performance Improvement plans. This position is within the Employee Relations team. The chosen candidate will provide employee relations services and products to management clients as assigned and in support of Employee Relations Account Managers.

Duties: |
Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Consults and advises managers on the full range of services in the areas of performance and conduct management.
Investigates and performs independent research to understand essential content of performance and conduct issues brought forward by management clients. Applies policies, regulations, and current case law to findings as part of all final solutions.
Assists management clients with writing of Performance Improvement Plans
Assists management clients in their response to employees performance (successful/unsuccessful) against the Process Improvement Plan after its completion.
Consults to and advises manager clients on alternatives to Performance Improvement Plans as needed
Assists management clients with issues of misconduct, including written and verbal coaching/counseling, written Letters of Reprimand, suspensions, and dismissals.
Facilitates process and related management actions to deliver and follow-up on Letters of Reprimand, suspensions, and dismissals.
Documents and tracks management consultations and related management actions taken.
Assists Employee Relations Account Managers as needed
Assists and collaborates with the General Counsel in representing the company in appeals before the Merit Systems Protection Board and arbitrators.
Assists and collaborates with the Labor Relations team in representing the company in grievances and other company matters respective collective bargaining agreements.
Works on Employee Relations program issues, projects, and tasks as assigned.
Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications: |
Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resource Management or related field is highly desirable
2 to 4 years of experience in an Employee Relations role required, with 2 or more years federal employee relations experience in the federal government required as well.
Management experience on a broad variety of employee relations, demonstrated through management services delivered and work products produced and implemented.
Knowledge of and experience in applying agency level HR policy, federal regulations, and employment law Demonstrated through management consulting experience and writing skills in the form of performance and conduct documentation, e.g., Performance Improvement Plans, Letters of Reprimand, suspension letters, dismissal letters, etc
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of and experience in accounting for labor relations, reasonable accommodation, and equal employment opportunity variables highly desired Demonstrated through management consulting experience, partnering with appropriate organizations, and final solutions in the form of written documentation specific to performance and conduct issue solutions, e.g., Performance Improvement Plans, Letters of Reprimand, suspension letters, dismissal letters, etc.
