Description: |
An Infrastructure Engineer with a specialty in Storage Network Management & Administration is a person who design, implements, operates and maintains storage infrastructure operations for several technologies including Storage Area Networks, day to day management and security of SAN and NAS paths and devices, implementation of upgrades and configuration changes, administration and monitoring of all components from the applications to the raw devices, demonstrates a working knowledge of protocols, standards, operation and implementation consideration, demonstrates knowledge of administration and configuration management tools, and recovers data at the application and database levels. The position entails working with project management staff, other IT specialties, and Storage Team members in developing cost-effective solutions to the projects storage requirements.

Qualifications: |
Knowledge of and skill in applying
Mastery of storage networking components and concepts
Ability to design and implement storage network environments based on system requirements
Ability to design, implement, and maintain a virtual storage fabric
Ability to perform day-to-day management and security of a storage network environment
Ability to implement upgrades and/or modifications to storage network configurations
Ability to administer and monitor all components of storage networks
Mastery of protocols, standards, operation, and implementation considerations for storage virtualization
Mastery of storage administration and configuration management tools
Mastery of data recovery tools and concepts at the application and database level
Sufficient to
Deploy and configure and administer NAS Devices (NetApp) with CIFS, NFS and HTTPS protocols
Deploy and configure and administer SAN Devices (NetApp V & FAS and HP EVA, potential future use for HP XP or HDS Tagma USP V, IBM SVC and DS, EMC Symmetrix)
Deploy and configure FC and iSCSI SAN fabric switches (Brocade, McData, and Cisco)
Deploy, configure and administer SAN and NAS snapshots and mirrors and vaults with NetBackup policies and backup devices
Configure and maintain a three site disaster recovery topology (2 active, 1 passive)
Deploy, configure, and administer Microsoft DFS interoperable with NAS devices (NetApp)
Deploy and configure NetApp FC Virtualization of legacy HP EVAs
Deploy, configure, and administer file and Exchange archiving tools (Symantec Enterprise Vault)
Deploy and configure and administer Storage Resource Management and Workflow Tools (SolarWinds, NetApp Akorri & SANscreen, HP Storage Essentials, and Operations Orchestration)
Deploy and configure and administer Database Archiving Tools

Work non-core hours when requested
Understand and follow established processes and procedures including Change Management, Work Tracking and Time Management.
Work with project teams to design storage solutions in collaboration with the other team members of other IT specialties and project management staff
