Description:

We are looking for a PeopleSoft System Administrator resource with extensive experience in installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining PeopleSoft systems and environments using PeopleTools release 8.49/8.50. Knowledge of Integration Brokers configuration and Web Services integration is a plus.

Duties:

Performance Requirements
• Carry out assigned tasks with a professional demeanor reflected in excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills, patience, analytical reasoning and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables and provide timely (weekly) status updates.
• Communicate functional and technical information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical users.
• Provide a sustainable IT infrastructure by supplying cross training and functional documentation.
• Provide on-call and backup support for existing systems and functions. Location for on-call and backup support may be at BPA facilities or off-site. Required to carry a BPA supplied cell phone/pager and work non-core hours when requested.
• Understand and follow established processes and procedures including change management procedure, work tracking and time management.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of and skill in applying:
• PeopleSoft system administrator certification in PT 8.49/8.50
• Expert level experience in PeopleSoft Installation, Administration, Integration, Reporting, Configuration/Customization, Application deployment, Production Monitoring and Support for Portal, HCM, CRM, EPM and Finance modules of PeopleSoft version 9.0.
• Hands on knowledge of PeopleSoft CRM 9.0, EPM 9.0, FMS 9.0, HCM 9.0 product lines
• Hands on knowledge of delivered PeopleTools 8.49/8.50 functions and features
• Ability to install, configure, monitor and support all layers of PeopleSoft middle-tier components including third party software required for PeopleSoft Portal, HCM,CRM, EPM and Finance modules of PeopleSoft version 9.0.
• Ability to analyze and monitor system usage to bench marking the performance for hardware sizing and capacity planning for each life cycle environment.
• Working experience with defining security boundary requirements and configuration to support integration between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications using Integration Broker, Application Messaging, SMTP services.
• Knowledge and working experience with server operating systems: Windows 2003, 2008, UNIX server based applications plus any related equipment to requirements and specifications in a computer room environment.
• Knowledge and working experience using Oracle 10g, 11g RDBMS
• Knowledge and working experience installing and configuring PeopleSoft using Citrix.
• Working experience gathering and analyzing user requirements, performing fit/gap analysis, and developing prototypes.
• Ability to understand a client’s business quickly and translate that understanding into a well-designed IT solution.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills. Should be able to provide accurate problem analysis to the client and follow up with documentation.

Sufficient to:
• Provide on-call technical support for all life cycle environments. This includes troubleshooting reported issues and system architectures that include data management, network management, and overall client architectures as it relates to the PeopleSoft environments.
• Architect overall system configuration to support single sign-on, load balancing, integration and security for high availability and scalability.
• Design, configure and maintain integration routines between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications.
• Design, configure, setup, load balance, monitor and tune Application Server, Web Server, Report Server, PS Integration Broker, PS Portal and Message servers.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and propose implementation approaches.
• Develop requirement documents, configuration documents, design documents, technical specification documents, knowledge transfer & training documents.
• Research new and emerging technologies to determine their applicability to application development and maintenance, and in support of the needs of operations. Give demonstrations of emerging technologies to acquaint BPA staff with capabilities and applicability to the BPA PeopleSoft application suites.
