Description: |
The Night Auditor is responsible for posting and balancing charges and settlements for room charges; maintaining files; and resetting the systems for the next day's operations. In addition, the Night Auditor will perform regular Guest Service Representative duties.
Position is 2-3 days per week from 11:00pm to 7:00am |
Duties: |
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
*Ensure guest satisfaction and revenue optimization through check in, check out and attentive coordination of hotel services for the guest.
*Registers guests into the hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using upselling techniques to maximize room rates; prepares for group check in and out and VIP arrivals; becomes informed of events/functions in the hotel during shift.
*Checks guests out of the hotel; processes customer payments according to established policies and procedures.
*Responds to guest requests promptly; promotes hotel services, facilities adn outlets; provides guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase satisfaction.
*Resolves minor guest complaints to the satisfaction of the customer; informs supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or unhappy guests.
*General Cleaning and Laundry duties

*Knowledge of basic accounting and city attractions.
*Ability to make change quickly and accurately.
*Typing and 10-key experience helpful.
*Basic accounting skills.
*Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public.
*Ability to communicate and develop an effective working relationship with fellow employees and supervisors.
*Ability to utilize computer and telephone etiquette.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel.
*Professional, organized and superior guest service skills.
*Must be able to read, write adn communicate effectively with co-workers and patrons in an English speaking environment.
*Must be available for all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
